Can you lose gold ingots on death?

I've noticed that when i die i start to lose some of the silver on my body. If i run around with only gold ingots is there a chance to lose those as well?

There is a decay meter, yes, but it doesn’t seem to go down for me.

Perhaps it only goes down if you receive damage from behind while wearing the backpack?

Regardless, OP, yes, you can lose your ingots if they get stolen on death.

Debug menu isn’t a suggestion, it’s a requirement. Devs are working to patch it but, man... that ♥♥♥♥ sucks. Sorry to hear that happened to you.

It might be related to getting hit in the back, BUT, I noticed after I switched backpacks some of my stuff just vanished (some weapons, crafting materials etc), afterwards I turned on the debug menu and tried reloading a save about 3 minutes before that and yeah, it was all back.
