Great hammer is the best two hander I've used yet. If I'm going two hand I just use the biggest impact one I own and go to town. I complement with bow and traps when need be. EZ.

Not really. 10 hours of me just exploring and traveling between the regions. I eventually found the recipe and had the thing after about one hour of resource hunting. You don't need the recipe though if you know what the ingredients are. It will automatically add the recipe once crafted.

The alpha tuanosuar is a pain in the ass but just get a few points in mana and get the red green rune trap. You can kite him all day long into it. Shield and sword might be an option if you can time the blocks right.

im not touching any mana at all.. since everyone on this earth near enough going "easy magic mode" im challanging myself i nstaying non magic ser

Alternately you can join my game and I can just give you a decent weapon if needed. Or I can join yours and help you gather the supplies.

My Cierzo stash is full of junk I'm too lazy to sale.

The rarest resource, tsar stone, can be farmed btw. For the tsar armor/ weapons.

Upper right Chersonese, through the Ghost Pass. Drink Gaberry Wine in front of a marked tombstone.
The ghost will respawn after a week without needing to pour another wine

Dont use the lock on system often if at all, its janky. youre better off getting the feel of melee without lock on, and then running circles around your target, waiting for them to attack and then hit them.repeat

hello just beat the game with 2 handed melee run. If you wanna go melee plan every fight. Elements are the key of every engagement. You can easily craft elemental rags or go little alchemy for potions. Stacking boons with little mana + elemental elixirs + skills have a devastating results on enemies. Even bosees. For example ; i got a dreamer halberd which has 11 physical + 33 fire damage, in that case fire rags and warm potion helps me a lot.

Hope it helps.

note: manticore weapons op as fck. but good luck with manticore hunt...

To those who have said that spear isn't good doesn't quite know how good it really is. The ability to hit outside just about everythings attack range is very needed especially early game when you're learning combat. Also the fact that it has a counter skill that does stupid damage is quite good.

Early game? The prayer claymore is one of the strongest things you can have. (And you need not even fight a thing to get it!) Late game, claymores become one of the better weapons. Since they usually have better "extras" on them. Most of the weapon skills you're going to learn are going to be counters that need to be timed. (Or at least the good ones will.) Two handers are great, but one of the harder weapons to play with, as ranging becomes rather important. Getting good at side rolls that keep you in range of the target while keeping you out of their range is important. But counterstrike, pommel counter, and brace can bale you out of nearly any bad situation.

Swords are for circle strafing, not handy for heavily armored players who strafes super slow.

Axes has a lot of forward momentum to chain hits, but a staggered enemy bounces pretty far away. It lacks large sweeps like swords.

Spears poke a lot, and has lower impact, meaning you might be prone to poke and be whacked in the face by certain mobs that attacks fast or shoots.

Hammers barely moves much and has a slow wide sweep. There is a ton of downtime between animations.

I like swords because I play as a mobile fighter to avoid being hit in the first place.

Activation time is a bit janky... 0.5 seconds to activate when a enemy might strike pretty fast is a bad combo.

Reminds me of Dark souls 1 janky parry mechanics.

I gave up counter pommel because of the insanely long delay after triggering it.

Range gap isn't that big... It's like 5-10% further which can be easily closed with a 0.25 second of movement.

Like say if I miss a sword swing I can hit heavy attack to shift into a side step slash.
