Melee combat system makes no sense in terms of skills.
WHY do i NEED to use boons for melee skills? this is so clunky and boring system i have ever played. it would make sense for an mage but for an melee skill? really? if some of you doesnt know you NEED to use a boon buff that stays for mere secs and is on a huge Cooldown for you to use some melee skills. like what is this?? just make the melee skills longer CD and require no stupid buffs.

Are you referring to the warrior monk tree?

most melee tree like spellblade or hunter also request a boon
Combat in this game is awful and needs rework tbh
yep boon requirements are trash concept. all best melee skills come from taverns and not dedicated skill trainers lmao
like i said, i could understand mage skills but melee skills just makes no sense in any given way. and it actually makes melee builds completely useless since magic is superior.

You're actually right, my bad.
There's always one skill which consumes the buff, yes. That kinda sucks.
Some of the boons last quite long, like rage a discipline. Just don't use the skills that consume the buffs unless against powerful enemies. Even then sometimes it doesn't feel like it's worth using the buff for a single move.

The issue I see atm is how the skills, which consume a buff, result in a more immersion-breaking, mathematical approach about skill usage, more akin to games like WoW.

But I think the real problem is not the skill consuming the buff, but the long cooldowns on the skills granting these buffs. Lessening the cooldown on these buffs should result in these "buff-removers" being usable finisher moves while retaining their identity as a non-spammable skill.
