Where to get skill points?

I played some time and I ended up with 3 skill points to spent on trainers.
Cant remember where I got them.
So where and how does one get skill points in this game?
I guess its by progressing the main questline?

You start with three breakthrough points. I'm reasonably certain you don't get extra. So this means you can only fill a maximum of three skill trees.

Ok, so you start with the max skills and need to know beforehand what class and skillset you wanna play cause not every map and town has all trainers in it.....
