Ancestor's Resting Place
Do you guys know how to open the gate on the upper floor which says It doesn't open from here? I looked in every room but there was no switch or anything

I did this just now, there’s a knight down below in there who has a key to all the gates on him when you kill him

It doesn't open with a key, more like a contraption which I can't find.

Just keep clearing the place out and you'll eventually find yourself on the other side of that door, it's more of a shortcut backwards

Only way I found though was to use the Debug Console stuck command. It moves you a short distance forward. Once on the other side lever is to your left.

Yeah, probably a bug? Maybe looting stuff makes the "ancestor's mad" and they close the gate? The message at the entrance did say "Honor the ancestors and enter with good intentions", so maybe that's it

Was having the same problem but I figured it out. To get behind that one gate at the top of the stairs that says it doesn't open from here, you have to go through the necropolis in berg. Watch the video around the 23:36 mark.

I did that quest too, it's part of the Mixed legacies quest but i can't seem to open it in that video.

My idea is that location is not to be opened then because you will go a second time there when you will do the whispering bones quest.
I think i got the Enmerkar tomb key during this quest or at it's end, i searched the video but i don't know where i got it....ah well, happy searching i guess?
