Arachnophobe safe?
Gotta ask as it seems most of these fantasy based games usually have giant spiders running around at one point or another so figure I ask as my searches are coming up empty.

Haven't seen actual spiders yet either, but there are shrimps and some mantis type things that look pretty close.

That should all be fine, can even deal with scorpions but spiders directly, just can not deal. Well I can if I have visual before they do me and such but "surprise!" no.

I've only been to two zones (starter area and the swamp) along with a handful of dungeon areas. Most obvious place for spiders would be the swamp, but the devs seemed to have opted to have magical blade dancing sphinx cats and fungus dinosaurs instead.

Here, these videos helped treat my mom's arachnophobia. Not all spiders are terrifying, and seeing the cuter sides of them can be an eye opener.
These are called Peacock Jumping Spiders, and they got quite the moves to impress the lady spiders with on the dance floor.
I hid the video in a spoiler, just in case you were to get freaked out be thumbnail of the youtube video. They are really quite harmless, and they are very tiny, the size of your little finger's nail. And the little dances they perform for their chosen mate are incredibly charming. ^^

Alright good to know. Tiny ones I don't mind its the giant ones that mess with me in games. Like Empyrion Galactic Survival, Resident Evil and such.

I havent seen any spiders. There are giant evil shrimps, so maybe those will set you off, idk how deep your phobia goes.

Thanks for asking this question! :D I have a similar type of phobia - completely ok with insects, scorpions, whatever - just not spiders, especially as a surprise.. I had to get my husband to pass one whole level of Dark Souls 2 for me, as I just finally lost it when they fell on me from up and behind. Worst.Nightmare.Ever. :D

Well there are giant cockroach-like creatures in some areas... though they look more cute than disgusting.
Gonk Mar 30, 2019 @ 4:15am
Those mantis crustacian things scare me more then spider since those are rare in any game.
FateWeaver Apr 9, 2019 @ 2:47am
Well the best way to overcome any such phobias is ironically enough to just continually expose yourself to them, until they no longer affect you. :/
Easier said than done, I know, but it does work.
For example, I overcame my fear of the dark by spending time locked in a completely dark room.
And my fear of spiders is almost completely gone, by having spent time looking at, and interacting with them. There was this spider show in my town, which I went to with a friend, and our parents, when we were little kids. They let us interact with tarantulas there, by letting us pet them, pick them up, and let them wander across our arms and shoulders and such. My friend was braver than me, he actually picked one up, I only let it wander across my arm and pet it. It helped a lot for my phobia though, none the less. ^^'

Well, there are metal spider golems if that counts. There are also ones that are on fire as well.

So far after 12 or so hours can safely say nothing that triggered me. Giant roaches in the desert and that one in the tree, stone mantis spooked us but nothing triggered my phobia so all good on my end with this game.

There are worse things in life than spiders, but gl dealing with that.

Thankfully, you won’t find any spiders in this game.
