How do you open the map on the Xbox 1 controller?

Theres a thread for the xbox controller and says "down on the d-pad" but it does nothing (sheathe weapon). And on the menu, there seems to be no option for the controller to show the map.

Is there a way to open the map on the Xbox 1 controller?
