Lost house before 5 days

So BEFORE the five days was up for the mourning period i lost my house. The npc's were saying it had been five days but it 200 percent was not. ONLY 2 nights had past and it was night three the day (cough, night) this happened. Is it this suppose to happen? Is it just scripted that the town leader lady either doesn't know how to count or is just being a mountainous ♥♥♥♥? Dont get me wrong if that's suppose to happen then its fine, ill continue the story.

If you want restart. immediately go to the beach with bandages, talk to the guy that is on the shore hurt. Get the favor and run back. You might be able to catch the village elder chilling at your house still, if not shes in the town hall. You can save your house in a matter of 15 mins of starting the game.

I also want to add that its not all that important to save your house. Its nice to have a storage unit but most of the time you will be eating/sleeping and living in the wild.

You can see what day it is by clicking M, you likely aren’t keeping track of time properly.

I disagree. No other way to access your storage chest that I've found. Storage chest is very good for storing crafting materials or alternate armor/weapons. IMO, start over if you lose the house. It's very easy to keep. Just run down and give a bandage to a guy on the beach. Should take you 2-3 minutes tops.

Yeah no, think it was an actual bug. Wasn't knocked out or died or anything, was keeping track of the days and everything. I restarted and got it to work tho and paid off the debt so watev

Ok so here is how you can get your first mission done on the first day. SPOILERS SO READ AT OWN RISK!
Ok when you spawn run up the path near a brazer is a bandage pick it up don't use it pick up the loot if you want, Talk to red hat man then go to sleep, when you wake up go to the chest down the stairs and take the loot its random,do the town folk mad scene, go to the shop and sell junk if needed and grab a better pack if you want also a weapon if you want a free one you can grab the machete from the beach near the clean water well its on the fish rack near the woman, next run back to a pier where it runs straight to a cave with a door go inside and loot all the stuff dont forget to grab the bedroll free bed, next got to the path that has weird bug shroom guys in it with spears should be 2 or 3 of them, go to end of cave should be a sign where it says if you jump down basically you cant come back up, go out and you will see the beach stay to the water on your right to not attract the electro shrimps watch out tho they walk around so be alert, you will see a guy on the ground with blonde hair talk to him and offer him the bandage. Now you have a document to pay for off the angry mob, find your way back to the main city by heading to the purple mtn from there head to the other side of it you will see a lake you wanna be on that side look for a long road heading off the mtn on that side and follow that path from the mtn it will take you a long way to eventually a forked road take the path to the left torward a lighthouse and there you can turn the paper in and boom no lost house.
