I was kind of hoping there were multiple spells though. Like fire has Spark and Flamethrower, so I assumed there would be like Chill and Cold Breath, or something.
Runic magic can fire balls of electricity, but I think the Sigil magic is stronger (although, that might be because I'm wearing a hat that amplifies my fire damage). Even if you don't dump all of your points into it, Runic casting is really useful.
There's a pretty good defense spell, a healing spell, a magical land mine (that I haven't tried yet), weapon summoning, and a light spell that works better than the lanterns (you actually have to have the light spell active to fire the lightning balls).
I'll have to experiment more, I wasn't aware that there were attack spells beyond Runic Magic, and the Fire/Ice stuff.
Where do you learn the ice circle?
It's probably worth it though, because you can stack all three elemental circles, and they all go off with one spell cast, although most of the time it's an AoE around the circle.
If you intend to use Sigil of Ice, then Elemental Discharge can be used to pull things to your sigil without requiring Rune Sage or another form of pulling.
I don't know if it's intended or not, but so far I've not seen a frost based Elemental Discharge apply Slow to an enemy.
Also, for anyone not aware, the Tired and Very Tired debuffs give passive mana regen. It's not necessary to take Leyline Connection if you really don't want to, but obviously you have to if you want Ice Sigil.
