In the starting village, you can go down around the pier and into the Storage area. Once you're inside, you go through towards the end, past the 'warning sign' and outside towards a beach. Walk along the beach(avoid the lightning shrimp) until you meet a guy who is injured, then give him a bandage to get a Tribal Favor(no need for the 150 gold)!

I didn't, one too many knock outs put that solidly in the ground. So far you can find a quest to get a shield mushroom that pays 70 and I found a quick little means of cash is to get a fishing harpoon and hope for rainbow trout, boil some salt water to get some salt, grab some seaweed and make that dish you find the recipe for in your house. Go to the food trader and talk to him for a quest for that dish. He'll trade one for 4 of his. You make three dishes out of 1 trout/salt/seaweed. Get that request as many times as you can and sell each dish for 4 silver each. You can also buy trout for 15 silver, which still gets you a net gain.

It might not be enough, but there are other options. Fishing can get you some decent sale items as extra stuff with the fish, mostly boots though. Mining can get you mana stones which sell for 6 as I recall. You can find Blue Sand on the beach which sells for 15. Enemy loot usually isn't great but can still get you some cash. Someone will probably have better advice, but that's what I've got so far.

Ah, that is good to know. I found him too. After. And dead. But still good.

I went outside and searched for things to sell. It took me only 1,5 days to get more money than I needed.

You need to amass 15000 silver coins, with that you can buy 150 gold ingots.

Yah I tried to look for the dude and ended up getting lost for 3 days.....I may just restart and try again to find him.

First I purchased a spear in town then went out hunting..
Sold everything I looted and almost had enough... Then got killed by bandits who then took me back to their base.. I was left in a hut so snuck out and stole some weapon killed some guards and got my stuff back.. I then looted the camp and slowly walked back to town as I was overweight and sold everything.. then completed the mission :)

I stole everything in town, including the village cheif's finest dress worth 47 silver on it's own.

You dont need to even leave the village. Go full Skyrim on it, go tough the full village. Take everything that is not nailed down and sell it. In about 45min i had my dept payed and and even got enough coins to buy myself a nice new weapon.

If you go through the supply cave you can find the beach and there's a dude you give 1 bandage. Then your favor is fulfilled and you can keep tjat cool 150 silver

I made the money with out leaving town, It was pretty easy just pick up the random stuff around the town and sell it.

Mining is reslly lucrative, trick is finding enough veins. One sapphire sells for 30 ~ 40 silver, you get them occasionally from mining. I found a quest that gave 70 silver for finding a shield in trog caves, also found a huge gem for another 30. Found some mine veins in there as well iirc. That said I got my debt cleared by saving the fella at the beach

You can make about 90-ish silver just by looting and fishing in town then selling it all to the vendor, then do the quest for the mushroom shield from Helen Turnbull (her location is on the map) and she gives you 70 more silver.

I ran to the big mountain with the spiral around it and mined the mana crystals, they dropped "hackmanite" or something with "hack" at the start and it sold for 50s per piece.

Lots of abuse with the bow & running away though.
