How do I get the mining pick?

I'm at the starting town, and can't find one to buy or crafting info. Found some ore in the troglodyte cave...

Theres 2 in the storage room in the city

I've found one in a treasure chest in the big world, and the blacksmith is selling one in the starting town ^^
