Timed events question
So im aware there are timed events and quests but Im curious on if there are timed events that start the moment you start your character. for example if you do go here and do this by day idk 30 you will miss out on that event or side quest etc? or is it triggered by your presence and then is timed once you learn about it SPOILER like the man in the desert or faction quests?

There's a timed event that starts right after you make a new character - the lighthouse one. If you don't bring tribal or money in 5 days you're going to lose it.

Other timed events are Cierzo quest (where it can permanently burn). You have 20 days to do it after joining a faction.

Other two are parallel quests that start during any of the faction story lines. Blood Under the Sun in Abrassar and Purifier in Marsh.

I don't recall if there was any other quest like these four.

there are other timed quests, if u dont collect all the money u still can buy the lighthouse afterwards, but the price is higher... thats all... but there are timed Quests wich can destroy the city, and ther is no going back, and stupidest thing on that quest ist, even if u have a month to do it, the moment u leave the map going to annother city it switches to lost, and finished, turning from a side quest to a main quest, destroying the hole gameplay for me as i just visited one other City following the main quest, and out of curyosity what there, after i came back, the city was in flames all people dead... all cuz of the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up Quest timer switsched to U DONT MADE IT IN TIME wich was a big lol for me cuz i only went t the next map expecting better weapons and armor to fight thosw bandits...

Im aware of this I was specifically asking for any events n ot tied to a quest or in game action for example say im lollygagging in chersonese for 50 days perhaps something way off in the marsh would be happening that i missed out on for no reason whatsoever besides that i only had a limited amount of time from game start to do it.

He's wrong about the timer on Cierzo. You have 20 days from the moment you join a faction. Changing zone only takes 3 days (single directionwise). So if you're in Enmerkar/Marsh you actually have 17 days to do it, and if you're joining the Levant you have 13 days if you head straight back. In reality you need less than a day to complete it.

I know. a lot of people dont realize the 3 day transition because the game doesnt explicitly say its been three days. Im aware of the start game timed events and faction stuff :p

when you travel from chersonese to enmekar forest you need food rations. 3 in particular you use these in the load screen but the game doesnt tell you its been three days you just transition from one place to another without knowing while losing the rations

Other than the 5 day lighthouse quest, none of the other quest times start until you join a faction. After that, each of the parallel quests for each faction have a time limit, ranging from 20-40 days. Additionally, each of the factions has one main quest that is timed, but it's different for each one. If you are just running around exploring and haven't joined a faction yet, you will be fine. Just remember that once you join a faction, you are on the clock for the destruction of Cierzo, so taking care of that first is recommended. Below is a list of each quest that is timed, if you are curious about which ones you need to prioritize.

Call to Adventure : 5 days, failure results in having to buy back your lighthouse for 300 silver.

Mouths to Feed (Heroic Kingdom exclusive) : 40 days (I think?), failure results in several minor NPC's in Levant become permanently unavailable.

Questions and Corruption (Holy Mission exclusive) : 30 days to reach a certain point, failure results in missing a potential 20% passive decay resistance and also a permanent minus 7 to 15 max stamina depending on choices.

Ash Giants (Blue Chamber Collective exclusive) : 25 days, failure results in missing out on a plus 40 max health buff.

Blood Under the Sun : 40 Days OR starting your third faction quest, failure results in losing access to a player house in Levant and buy prices in Levant being permanently more expensive.

Purifier : 40 Days OR starting your third faction quest, failure results in potentially losing access to a unique merchant in Berg, and losing an opportunity to make the final fight easier.

Vendavel : 20 Days upon JOINING a faction, irrespective of when you actually start the quest (to start it, go to Cierzo after joining a faction). Note that it can be completed before joining a faction, but you will potentially miss out on some unique gear/dialogue. Failure results in Cierzo being populated by hostile bandits, causing you to lose access to player housing and ALL Questgivers/Merchants/Trainers in Cierzo.

Lost Merchant : 2 days, failure results in loss of 100 silver and 2 poison varnish reward. However, this quest is infinitely repeatable so failing it has no long term effects.

this does not answer my question
how does questgiver react after i am coming later than the 3 days
SkilledZero Dec 26, 2019 @ 9:00am
Doesn't matter, you can take 2 months if you like and they will react the same as the 3rd day

So basically if you don't join a faction..you're in the clear?
Because..i just want to explore around and do the dungeon with no pressure.

you can technically complete some quests before they are even timed so in a way its better to explore and better yourself before choosing a faction. learn the world and such.
