We just started this one, note that you have to get past the initial shipwreck area and to the first village before you can actually enter coop mode. That was bugging us when it kept saying we couldn't do multiplayer.
i would agree whole heartedly, that is a great game and even better when on chat. It has a definite DnD feel to it.
-I currently have 60 hours in the game. I have finished 2 of the 3 questlines (plus some sidequests, rare weapon hunting and exploring) in the game
-The first 5-8 hours was a bit difficult since I was just trying to get used to the game mechanics
-Fighting mechanics can resemble other action rpgs, some have said that it can be quite clunky. To a certain extent I can agree to. However, enemy encounters and fighting is still a ton of fun
-Story is a bit weak imo but it has some depth into it
-To me, Outward's strongest point is the character builds. It rewards players for being creative, so be sure to check out player builds online if you are interested!
-Finally, join the Discord server if you have the app! The server is very active and it is where the developers mostly interact with the player base. If you ever run into a problem with the game (whether gameplay wise or just have questions about the game), the users and the game developers are really active on helping out other people
I played this game solo and it was a ton of fun. I'm quite sure its more fun with 2 people playing it.
Hope this helps :)
I didn't quote you nor did I comment on your comment, I was referring to the 1st comment in the post...
Oh ♥♥♥♥, mb dude. Lemme just slide outta here
Both players can get non story related skills and passives, but what's there stopping you from beating the game for 1 player being host and then switching things up for 2nd player and picking another story line?
Also, class trainers is how you get better.
You make your own class with them and then support it with gear.
