Permanent Debuffs is a poor design mechanic.

I fight a hyena, it gives me disease, it lasts forever.. I buy/make potion to cure..? I fight hyena.. I get disease.. seriously?

Either debuffs should be easy to cure.. or on timers. Not permanent.

This is one of the biggest flaws of rpg games. And it's just lazy developers..
On the plus side game cost me £14.. and I'll never buy from these developers again. :)

Or maybe your meant too find the cure(very easy too buy or make) then wait for it 2 slowly disappear (sleep) and carry on as normal?

This is an RPG with survival elements and sicknesses are meant to be deadly when left unattended. They are very easy to cure, but I guess it's even easier to be a whiny ♥♥♥♥♥.

Nah it's just a badly made "game" it isn't a survival.. get indigestion, make cure, drink cure, sleep.. starve to death whilst sleeping because your "chance to keep it down" whilst having indestion.. is 100% failure. So can't eat, can't sleep... respawn on other side of map.. awesome design..

Character is also the weakest sjw on the planet. can't carry anything worth while, stupid level of inv managment

Then there's the combat.. wow.. two bandits.. hit tab, targets the furthest away bandit, kill one bandit, other kills me, respawn other end of map, run back, other bandits gone, loot bandit.. walk at 1kph to berg.. awesome combat.. or the get magic.. run to top of mtn, get killed by massive op monster on top..

This is like someone sat down played gothic, made worst imaginable version of gothic.. which was dreadful in itself.

Not a survival game, it's just a die and respawn and run alot game. Bit's of fun here and there.. but overall.. pretty garbage game.

An infection from a Hyena is easy to fix.

Instantly cured with Bitter Spicy Tea. Made from water and an Ochre Beetle. Which, if you aren't carrying around, you can find in about 60 seconds.

After completing the first map I only got infected 3 or 4 times.

Catching a cold is the more annoying disease because Soothing Tea takes a while to cure it.

A cold is fairly easy to prevent with Gaberry Jam or Gaberry Tartine, a fur tent and the occasional camp fire. It's just irritating having to watch over that pesky body temperature meter.

Yeh finding more n more beetles as i explored outwards, now the most annoying aspect are bandits that don't go below 10% hps.. I got one here in blue armour attacking me all he does it defend.. but if i move away he engages me but then just defends.. broke my mace fighting him down 10 hps.. now he just won't die, killed his armour hyena tho.. that followed me forever.

Apparently you don't like games where you have to plan and think, so this game simply isn't for you, it's not for everyone.

This game basically is an adventurer simulator. Imagine you'd have to go adventuring to work off a debt. Would you just go into the wilderness without preparing yourself. Would you, fresh off without any combat experience, maybe just with an oversized bird, attack 2 fully armed bandits thinking you could easily win? That's what you are describing you are doing here. You have to change your mindeset if you want to enjoy this game. But again, it isn't a game for everyone.

This game deliberately isn't made to appeal to everyone, it's targeting a niche. Fortnite is the opposite, it appeals to a completely different set of players. Comments like this clearly show you don't fall into the niche audience the game wants to reach. Just go play Fortnite, this game clearly isn't for you.

Listen kiddo I was playing this niche before you were born. So enough already.

What a negative and cowardly point of view.. seems to infect everyone these days, someone objects to something and suddenly it's well, you obviously don't like it, so just go away, because I do and I can't handle people saying bad things about a game I like.

Fortnite is a garbage game as well.. imho.. I don't care if 250 million people love it, it's still imo, a garbage game. In some respects Outward is worse than fortnite. imo.

I've pointed out where I think it fails.. if you disagree.. so what. Clearly the lack of people playing and replaying the game, shows that many people, also think the game is rubbish. Niche audience.. people don't make games for a niche audience. That's like making a triangular wheel for a car. Sure.. some people will buy it, just to point out it fails, others will buy it, because it's a stupid idea and they like stupid ideas.. doesn't make it a good idea tho.

Noone makes a game that is deliberately not appealing. That makes no sense at all.
