Cross platform support ?

I noticed the game will also be sold on Playstation and Xbox.
Will the game have cross platform support ?
So I can play co op with me on my pc and my son on his playstation?

I doubt them having the funding to support cross platform. It's expensive to fund such project. The game is split screen supported. You can play with your son on his playstation. The controller is not that bad you can get use it if you are not already.

One day, through quantum computing, the world will be cross-platform and we will be playing with ourselves all day. Not quite the way I wanted that to come out though.

I'm curious why this happens/doesn't happen with games on multiple platforms. Is it a company policy issue, money thing, programming thing? If you have a minute I'd just like to understand why some games have it and some don't. I know there is a good reason I just don't understand why and would like to learn.

It's expensive and complicated and this is not a huge budget title.

it is complicated because, on a tight budget, they have to breed two different plataforms. sometimes the offspring is not what they expected. bigger companies can fund laboratories of hardware genetic engineering and in vitro fertilization soldering. the offspring is much more stable and predictable, resulting on a smooth cross plataform gameplay.
