There is a mod on the nexus that removes the limit.

Way on earth was it 'officially' limited to 2 player in the first place?

Actually to clarify it makes it up to 16 player co-op however anything above 4 is not stable apparently. Also use a /s to discern sarcasm. Kinda hard to discern in text.

Because the game is already easy enough with just 1 player. If they had some kind of scaling difficulty it might be nice.
Kitalon Apr 17, 2019 @ 4:59am
Is there anything in the pipeline (roadmap) to add additional players/scalability, or are they all done 'n dusted with it's development?
AussieMark Apr 17, 2019 @ 5:36am
apparently the difficulty can scale up to 3 people as that is built into the code (it was initially planned to have 3 or 4 people then dropped down to 2 for stability)

There is actually a lot of cool mods on the Nexus Mod site i didnt realize

And its Developer approved this one apparently

added people here for co-op!

Whats the point if only the host gets to progress? Or has something changed?
Kitalon Apr 18, 2019 @ 7:24am
I think that they could probably do more work in 'group progression' and character development in co-op. On the flipside you can at least take items across games. These are early days, once other devs get wind of this type of (drop-in co-op) game the possibilities are limitless.

It has scaling up to three players in the NexusMod and 2 players in the normal game.

All players get progress on their individual characters. All weapons, equipment and trained skills are carried over to their gameworld's saved file. Also, the OP is correct 3 players is absolutely amazing.

ty for clearing that up, i didn't know that

The game is a joke even with 2 players so with more than 2 it becomes a sight seeing game....ah well, this is why i hate mods....even though i am using the reshade pack and armor/weapons/different pizza ones
Tearfulstab Apr 18, 2019 @ 4:14pm
i agree its easier than i like with just 2 peeps must have little challenge playing with 4 maybe a mod to tweak the difficulty, and btw fable 2 had a similiar drop in system so its not like its new.
