How do I craft potions?

I bought the recipe for a healing potion but it does not appear in the crafting menu.

Did you actually read the recipe?
Do you have an alchemy kit?

You need to build a fire pit and place an alchemy kit over it.

Ah, thank you. I found the alchemy kit at Helmis shop in Cierzo (if anyone else is looking for it).
I hava another noob question: how do I dismantle the metal scrap (it says I should dismantle it in the crafting menu, but it doesnt work).

You cannot break down iron scraps, but the crafting menu will allow you to experiment on manyy items, but they just don't break down any further. And, are you sure you aren't seeing the prompt to "dismantle" your Alchemy Kit? B/c you can do that, and take it with you--Same for your cooking pot.

I have figured the alchemy kit and its usage out.
The item text of the metal stuff I get when mining says that I can dismantle it..?

Hello. There are some things you are able to dismantle, deconstruct. If you want, you can try to deconstruct/dismantle every item and find out which items you can and can not do. I found out by accident when i tried to deconstruct the cooking pot, it turned into a helm. Stuff like that you find out lol. Some basic stuff you can not deconstruct, like arrows, quarterstaff, plank shield etc. So till you find which items you can and not can, just try them all out. Dont deconstruct your current mani weapons/shield unless you have back ups.

And deconstructing works by putting only one single item in the "free recipe" slots and then pressing the button to craft, yes?
