Mine is at Chersonese.. its called Conflux.. your suppose to go there to learn magic..
thats alot of traps..I curuntly only have wooden ones..guess I need to upgrade..
Your best bet if you don't want to use iron for traps is to prepare better before engaging the Mantis.
When you reach the top of the mountain (but without aggroing it), apply some buffs:
1. Buff your impact resistance - eat the Gravel Beetle or drink Mineral Tea.
2. Use Ice Rag (the mantis is weak to frost) - can be made from Linen Cloth + Seaweed.
3. Buff your stamina regen - drink water + eat gabbery. You can also sleep for an hour if you have a tent that's not a bedroll, it'll also give you stamina buff.
4. Buff your health regen - eat a cooked meat (for a health regen buff that'll last a while) and use a bandage on yourself (it doesn't last long, but if you attack the Mantis right after using it, if you get hit early on it'll heal you up a bit)
You can put the traps first before doing all this so that some of the buffs don't fade out.
Don't forget to block and dodge the heavy attacks, since you're using a 2h sword it's probably better to dodge.
You don't need to climb to the top of the mountain to get your Mana.
The Ley Line is *inside* the mountain.
There's 3 dungeon entrances along the mountainside, with each one providing a different sort of challenge.
Thanks for all the info..
Still wish we had a save game option, game is just way too unforgiving this way..
There should be a "SaveGames" folder in your "Outward" game folder with your recent saves. If you don't want to keep repeating a fight, you can save the game before (by exiting to main menu or just quitting the game) and copy out the most recent save. Or just remember the date and time of that save, and later delete any saves that come after it (the game always loads the most recent one), but I would still recommend to copy it out first.
