Need to upgrade my weapon

Hello! I just arrived at Berg for the very first time and I would like to upgrade my weapon. I am using a brutal greataxe at the moment (33 damage) and I would like to upgrade. Any suggestions? I know the first thing people are going to say is explore lol

You can craft Golem Halberd or Golem 1h Axe. You just need to kill a few of those Beast Golems that are roaming around and craft either of the two.

You can also go kill the boss in the give that drops one of the better weapons in the game.

Depends really, what kind of a weapon do you want? Greataxe? Sword? 2h or 1h? etc.

Oh, thank you! I checked out the recipes the blacksmith at berg sells but I wasn't impressed with their damage.

Where is the boss?

On top of one of the hives, think it was the one closer to Berg. I don't exactly remember which one it was. There's also 2h Claymore from a boss at the Royal Manticore cave. (It's outside).

Technically they're both mini-bosses, special variants of existing enemies.

I wonder how I will do against those monsters with my great axe.
