Black screen after entering a room under Gift of Ares(?) activating
So I had a pretty good run, was at level 6 and almost filled Ares meter (that red bar at right lower corner that fills when you get damage).
Next thing happened:
1. I was in a room that was connected to a "laser fence" (the room where you have to damage yourself to enter with laz0rs).
2. My Ares meter was filled 99%
3. Important to mention - character had much of items that granted speed movement bonus.
4. I've quickly rushed to the laser fence room.
5. Ares Gift triggered - I could barely see the red bar appearing.
6. I've entered the room but it never loaded.

Result: black screen with a cross-hair on it, music playing. None of the keys are working, Game didn't throw an error, though obviously I couldn't continue.

Hi Inle,

Sorry to hear you're having this issue.

Does this happen often or has this happened this one time?
Has this occurred with any other bosses?

Could you please verify your game files:
  1. Right-click on the game in your Steam Library, choose Properties, switch to the Local Files tab and press Verify integrity of game files...
  2. Attempt to run the game to see if the issue is resolved
Can you test whether the issue re-occurs?

If it does, please reply with your dxdiag information also:
  1. Hold down the Windows Key and press R, the Run dialogue should appear > Type dxdiag in the available text field > Click OK
  2. Click Save All Information > Save the file DxDiag.txt to your Desktop so it is easy to find
  3. Open the .txt file, copy all the contents > Paste all the contents to a free text hosting service such as http://justpaste.it, http://textuploader.com or http://freetexthost.com
  4. Copy the link to your post

Hey!
This was a one-time only issue.
I don't think it will be that easy to reproduce without the dev tools enabled, as conditions are really specific.
Other than that - I have no issues with the game, so no stress.
Just reporting in case this scenario missed your test case backlog, so maybe QA would take this to attention.

It sure is a gameplay bug, nothing to do with DX I think. After the boss is beaten, we have the screen fade to black animation, and then it stays black. When I walk I can hear my character's footsteps, indicating he's exactly in the same room. So it means the transition to the next level was not triggered by the gameplay code. I saw there's a workaround for this if you leave the boss room and quit the game and then reopen it, you will find yourself in the next level. The problem is that I can't even leave the boss room since sometimes it happens on the darknet boss, where there is no exit.

Here is a seed where I was able to reproduce it: 0HC2R3RP
I was blocked at level 5, and from there I wasn't able to reach the level 6.

I have the same problem with the black screen after bosses at high level (level 5 mostly). I am playing on Epic.
