Losers stuck at swamp.

Our group's highkey stuck at swamp with a dude hinting at some boots at the quest marker.
From others' threads I've figured we need to get the big mushroom to help the sick girl, but how would we actually get the mushroom?
We've went there to it and attempted to interact with it and blow it up.

Update: We've now also tried to torch it, throw a potion at it, grapple it and slap it with a book. Nothing works.

You need to go to the infirmary and talk to the guy there to actually get the quest to get the mushroom, then you will be able to interact with it.

We've went there, but the guy doesn't really give the quest, I guess.
He says "Please, find a way across to the swamp, find the rare mushroom and save my daughter." but that's about it.

It seems like you're on the interact with the giant shroom part of the quest. In case you havent, speak to swamp dude, go talk to guy with sick daughter, head to the giant musroom in the northwest of swamp and just Interact with it. I did this quest with no issue and found the mushroom before even getting the mission.

Maybe the quest is bugged for you possibly related to multiplayer? If you know who spoke to the father first try and get that specific person to interact with the giant shroom.

My mushroom is bugged as well. The quest is shown as completed before i even went to the swamp. I have no way to interact with the mushroom or father.. no boots.

Maybe i can help, if you join my run and get the mushroom there, or atleast finish the t2 dungeon with me, you can perhaps continue? Not sure how that entire online thing works.
Perhaps i could join your game and pick it up for you hmm

I got the same problem in single player.... I spoke dozen of times to the dude in the swamp with the quest marker, got the shroom quest but cant interact with it. -.-

there is a way to bypass the Boots, you dont rly need em, you can get the froggo instead, thats 1 quest further, you just need someone with enough progress, like me =p

surprised there isn't more people who managed to finish the quest saving the sick girl get the mud boots from the father but not have them added to your inventory nor have the ability to pass the swamp across the mud
although it looks like you don't even need it if you use knight in middle
what exactly is the point of the mud boots then???

Yeah. I've mostly played Knight & you can leap over alot of the gaps I assume you were ment to use the boots for, haha

There is quite a easy temporary solution for now atleast, maybe you can Pin it or something.
I saw alot of people yesterday struggling with the Boots quests n stuff so i decided to help em by them inviting me to their Lobby and i then open a Portal to the Swamp village, then they get the new quest for the Froggo and then i complete the Quest with em.
People thanked me and said they were able to complete the entire Swamp later without any Trouble after that.

Doesn´t fix the problem with them never received the swamp Boots, but atleast they could progress again.
