Game Abandoned?
Haven't seen any updates from this game for a couple years now that have addressed some of the unsolve-able room layouts for the infinite dungeon, wand aiming being assy, etc.

Have the devs abandoned the game? This had potential.

Yes. It's a shame that the game fell short of expectations. With a few tweaks and changes, it could have stood out and earned a much larger customer base than it did. Sadly I believe the devs ran out of time and/or money and had to call it "done" at one point. There are a lot of aspects to the game which are unfinished or simply meaningless (IIRC there are far more homes than you ever need, and the extras do nothing. the wand aim is tough. there are switches that activate traps, but also the same switch is sometimes required to open a door to proceed, I don't know if they ever fixed the sync issue where a door will appear to collapse for clients as they enter the room, dealing unavoidable damage, etc...)

It could have been more, but it'll probably never see another update.

Shame. I'm hoping Quest Master does all the things and more this game didn't.

Rogue Heroes is pretty much complete, I had a blast playing it with my gf. Played like 50 hours and haven't ran into any unsolvable rooms.
The only part that's incomplete was the skill tree, but by the time you upgrade halfway, you're pretty much overpowered, there's no need to complete it.

From farming to interior decorating to skill tree for variety of characters and puzzles in dungeons, this game had it all. My gf and I played Co-op online and local co-op, both worked so well, and mostly the movements were so fluid and not locked to only 4 directions.
I'm always looking for a game like Rogue Heroes, and most don't meet my criteria.
I just checked out Quest Master and it seems like it's mostly taking place in dungeons. That makes the world feel a little smaller than I want. And the movements feel stiff because the character sprite is only drawn in 4 directions.

They're doing a giant overworld (and overworld editor) for Quest Master sometime this year with the 1.0 release.

But I agree, Talos is fun for what it is, but there are some game-breaking bugs that need fixing.
