Titanic: Adventure Out Of Time

Titanic: Adventure Out Of Time

How does it run on modern computers?
I would buy it for the nostalgia, but how does it perform on todays computers?

It's a pain to setup that's for sure. I had it working on my older PC, but I just built a newer one and I can't get it to display in anything larger than the tiny box in the middle of my screen. It definitely has issues on newer PC's.

Aw, thats to bad. I was hoping they optimized it for modern PCs. I wont buy it then, thats to much of a pain in the ass for me.

I have a newer PC and it runs fine. I would suggest going for it and buying it, and if it doesn't work right, you can simply return it via Steam.
I have a modern PC. The only compatibility issue I had was the audio cutting off prematurely during conversations. I did not have to set any compatibility settings or anything. I run windows 10 x64 with a GTX 980 and an Intel I7 5960x.

To fix the audio clipping you simply must set the game to use only one core of your CPU (Most everyone is running a multi-core CPU, this game was designed in the days of single thread CPUs.
To set the game to use a single CPU do the following:
1. Right-click on your desktop and create a shortcut. When it asks you for the path enter in this command followed by the location of the game in your directory. This is where it is in an example from my PC.

C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe /c start "Titanic" /affinity 1 "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Titanic - Adventure Out Of Time\TI.EXE"

For those with high resolution monitors you will not get the full screen experience. It looks like the game runs in its default resolution of 800x600. I would not consider this a compatibility issue rather they way the game was originally designed. The screen is large enough to play the game without issues in my opinion.

This will force the game executable to use only one CPU core allowing the game to play flawlessly. The game is only $1.50 well worth the price. I have played it through several times no crashes or other bugs to report.

I played it on my Lenovo G50-30 Laptop (Intel Celeron 2,1 GHz Processor; 4GB RAM; 250GB SSD (upgraded to SSD by Myself); Intel HD Graphics) with Windows 10 Home installed. After installing Steam & Downloading the Game I could simply run & play it. No significant Issues were detected & the Game is running smoothe. Also does the DOS-Game "Star Trek: Judgment Rites", wich is a much older Game than "Titanic: Adventure out of Time". But as always, your own Experience will show, if the Game is still working on your System or not. I've heard several Times from People, that the Steam-Version could be come up with some Problems on High-End-Gaming-Machines. But I don't know, if that's true or not. Maybe you should give it a try. The Game is very cheap at the Moment. So, I can only recommend: Have a Look and see, what happens. You'll never know, unless you try. :steamhappy:

I am using Lenovo Yoga 80R5. Hopefully it will not give me problems.

If I have to pick a game that represents my mom, I would pick this, she originally bought the full box in Blockbuster Hong Kong when it came out,and I was too small to do the mission back then xD kindegarten, I played Black Jack and ran around the ship to explore/find hidden places, like getting into the boiler room.
