Any tips for the Daredevil missions?

I seem to have found myself stuck on the first Daredevil mission in Chapter 6. I can never get better than a bronze medal, as I always miss a few star posts. What could I be doing better, I am using Rouge.

You don't have to drift all the time, drive as close to you can to the pole on the red side and do a tiny drift as you're driving through to "tap" the gate.
