Harbor Loading unload with forklifts
Hi there whenever i want to unload and load a ship at the same time in a harbor with forklifts. The forklifts seem not to be able to load the ship after a small amount of cargo is removed so there should be place in the ship.

This results in forklift looping with cargo and not loading or uinloading... How can a resolve this?

Similar to a DO being assigned to load and unload the same storage...

Only current solution is a forklift garage for loading and unloading...

Yeah the issue is the forklift is not going to know what to do, especially if your loading the same goods your taking off. In this case as bballjo says youd need separate forklift warehouses.

does this behaviour happens for forklifts and other types of cargo stations?

The issue isn't the vehicle...it's that you tell a building to load and unload the same cargo at the same station...that just creates a circle

yeah that really doesn't make sense, why would they do that?

Not sure I understand your question.

If you tell them to "load until x" for all cargo, they will go there, load until the storage is less than x. If you ALSO tell them to unload there until the storage hits y, then after they load something, the storage drops, when the storage is below y they will try to fill it again. They do exactly what you tell them

The cargo loaded is different from the cargo unloaded. The forklifts grab stuff that need to be loaded but cant because the ship is also being unloaded. This result in a circledance of forklifts with stuff they wanna load.

I tried the 2 forklift garages trick that helped a little

Can you connect them with 2 separate factory connection networks? Or add storages in between, one for imports, one exports?

I see, I'm gonna be able to test it out on a train station soon, where as crops will be unload and food and liquor being loaded.
The loop really shouldn't happen, unless you're not selecting exactly which resources are meant to be un/loaded.

I meant, why would the player do that. Also worth noting, Forklift garages don't have the "load until" option, they will just transfer resources to maximum of the capacity, and they will even have a surplus if the storage is already at near capacity. They aren't as smart as DO.
Also worth mentioned sometimes it can be useful to put load and unload of the resource at some storage, as a means of creating a buffer of larger capacity.
