Odd road circle

While building parallel dirt roads I get this strange circle. See screenshot. I was able to get it double by building in a different order.
It cannot be ereased or interacted in any way.

I was able to isolate the issue. It happens everytime I join the top and lower branch. Both road sections are connected more or less on the edge of the circle.

Reload does not help, either after or before it happens. I can reliably reproduce the effect on my save.

Edit: destroying and rebuilding the connection fixes the problem.
