MSVCP110.dll and MSVCR110.dll

Hi all,

anyone experience the same problem?

If i try to start the game out of steam, it won't even start. I have to navigate to the install path and click the exe file manually. Tried all 3 of them.

What i investigated/tried for the moment:


Game is on another ssd then windows is.

I re-installed Visual C++ Redistributables a few times.

I manually deleted said .dlls and re-installed Visual C++ Redistributable.

I manually delted said .dlls and downloaded these specific ones from dll-files(dot)com

I restarted my pc a few times after re-installing.

I deleted the game and moved it to another ssd (not the one i got windows on)




So it seems that SETUPAPPLICATION SOVIET.exe does only search for that .dll when it's on the same disk as windows is.

I (and steam) just can't start the setup exe, so i am not able to change the resolution etc. I had to manually channge it in the config.ini.

So the game is working, but with too much workarounds...


Any help appreciated.

Win10 64bit 22H2 all updates made
RX-6800XT Driver: Adrenalin Edition 23.11.1
i7-9700K
16GB RAM
Display-Res: 3440x1440

Download the redistribution files from Microsoft directly then install.. I had this when I moved to my new Win11 laptop over the weekend. You may also need to download the DX11 redistribution as well and install this. Steam expects to find the game under C;/Program Files (X86)/Steam/Steam Apps/. It dislikes installs on any other drive including network mounted drives. There are ways around it using mklink. You also want to run the Soviet64 client. There are also a large number of issues with the models for Vehicle mods.. all worked okay under windows8 but won't load under windows11, they cause the game to 'spin' indefinitely when 'Initializing Resources'
