Impossible to demolish train track ?

Am i missing something or is just impossible to demolish train track/bridges ? There is no demolition office for tracks and i cannot find any special train to do this. Am i just missing something or at the current state is not possible to demolish train tracks ? Thanks

I am having the same issue. My train CO sends out a trackbuilder to demo the track however the job never gets finished. The track section shows "Demolition has been stopped - Not enough space to store: Construction Waste, Metal Scrap, other Waste."

I'm using an EDK 300 and even added a large stand for big garbage containers to the CO. Still no luck.

I just figured this one out after running into the problem today. Grab a dump and connect it to the Rail CO via factory connection. The dumps are located within Waste, all the way to the right. I just did a small one, soon as It connected (and I reactivated the construction) my EDK 300 went out and immediately picked up the demolition waste. It was just waiting for somewhere to dump it! :) Seems obvious now...

I am unsure if the smaller track builders can carry the material back to the CO.

I tried this, but did not work, I even added 3 dumps, 1 for construction material,1 for metal scraps, and 1 mixed ... :( still no demolition happening, it does not even start.

You could use the large Rail Construction Office, it has an internal storage for the waste and works for me.

The small RCO only has a single small internal bin, which can only accept a single type of waste. Best way to get demolition working is to add a transfer for big garbage containers via factory connection, which will hold anything you throw at it. The large RCO has plenty of large internal bins so it doesn't have this problem.

just info, in my case, in the demolition there will be some gravel and steel material after demolition, MAKE SURE YOUR STORAGE in CO is NOT FULL (repeat : NOT FULL, so it contain the gravel and steel (as its not considered as waste))

This is problem especially for older saves (long played games) where RCOs do not have storage for waste and need(ed) to be rebuilt. Workaround with storages for containers (not standard ones for technical services) works as well and beware of internal storages being full

I've adopted this method, which seems reasonable, but I failed, a small mistakenly layed tracks make me construct another RCO, um, isn't it a mistake in designing small RCO? Or, just specified it in the menu so that the player will be clear in mind before this mess......
