Remove decorative pavement no longer works as it did before

I played a few months ago, and just returned (and on test branch too). I notice the "remove decorative pavement" feature no longer allows you to remove existing pavements from buildings. I hope this is not intended, because this is one of my favorite features from the game and I made great use of it in my republic. Being able to snip off all the unused connectors you're not using really tidies up the area and makes it look prim n proper.

Hmm remove decorative pavement never allowed to remove pavement from buildings.. only there was or is problem that rarely somehow the inside decorative pavements from buildings are by bug separated from buildings.. so you may saw it .. but it was bug

By holding shift and doing a box select, the removal tool allowed the existing building pavement to removed. It was great! I did it all the time, it made things look so much better. Plus you could even remove things like the asphalt pavement for buildings like the voltage switches and replace them with gravel as I would seldom have a paved road going out there, so it fit the aesthetics better.

Cargo platform on the left is back when I could do this (january?), where I snipped off the unused back connector. One on the right is placed now.

Such a feature would have allowed me to remove these 4 unused connectors in my new republic[cdn.discordapp.com], but it seems I can no longer do that anymore D:

How can I get this bug back? It was a very useful option
