Grain silo -> warehouse?

Am I right that it is not possible for a grain silo to transfer crops to a warehouse via a factory connection?

I have built a setup that I thought would work like this:
grain silo -> warehouse -> distillery

but the distillery just says it has no crops, despite the silo being full.

Is this by design, or a bug? (or have I missed something?)

You made a mistake there. Factories can take material only from buildings connected directly to them. A distillery has two factory connection so you should connect the silo to one of them and the other one can be connected to warehouse. You can connect them even into triangle.

It will be good if I prepare that guide this weekend.

Well, I was using the other connection for the output. I assumed a store could load from another store.
Urgh, it's going to take a long time to unload 800t of crops!

You are not the first one trying to use storagesin series. I did that too. And two trucks can easily handle that amount of crosps in such a short distance
