Waste issues
Can the devs make it possible to dump all waste into a mixed waste dump? It seems to work that way at incinerators, but the DO, CO, etc. won't work properly. I have a dump and a segregation plant connected to the power plant, so the DO won't send mixed waste to the power plant nor the dump...

Also, another issue: The scrapyard doesn't seem to use external waste containers, so it doesn't separate its waste.

Also make it so that you can click multiple waste products in the "LOAD" menu because I can't tell trucks to load only mixed and hazardous waste right now... Only one waste is selectable

I don´t have a closer picture atm.
Here I built the srap sorter for the first time.
You can see a storage where 3 aggregate belts are going in.
One from the harbor at the very right,
one from a drop of just beside a waste dump in the middle,
and one direct from the scrap seperation.

The rest is still valuable waste without any scrap left in it.
At this stage of my game idk what to do with it so I just export it for now and deal with it later.
It is collected at the storage left from the scrap seperation,
and picked up at the pick up point which I can reach over the bridge and brought down by trucks to the harbor in the middle.

I know it is hard to see.
But at the scrap seperator on the left I placed a small modded garbage container silo. (Just above the industrial connection)
The waste from there is seperating metall itself and is picked up by tech. service.

I think vehicles can unload any type of waste into a dump so long as the dump doesn't specify a certain type of waste. Just uncheck all the waste types and they will bring anything and dump it there.

I had problems too some waste trucks dumped hazardous waste ( green bins ) in the mixed waste dump, after which it refused to accept mixed waste anymore.

This was when i did not have a hazardous waste treatment facility yet.

I solved it by having hazardous waste brought directly to the incinerator building ( it's parking lots ) and the mixed waste to the connected dump.

I think this is intentional, so we have an incentive to use the more slow process of scrapping. If external container worked for this there was no point using advanced scrapping.
But hey, at least its the only industry where you have to have a separation plant.

The scrapping facility has aggregate storages for scrap metal/aluminum, so scrap metal/aluminum can only overflow into connected aggregate storages.

Attached waste storages also worked fine for me in both scrapping modes, but they only accepted mixed waste.

I use those, but the mixed waste contains plastic, scrap, and IIRC, organic waste. They don't sort the waste in the external bins.

I have a problem where I added a dump so my incinerator dumps the ash there and as soon as it gets built, it fill up with 0.09% metal scrap and it stops the incinerator from dumping there because it gets categorized as metal scrap dump... I demolished and tried rebuilding so I can pause but could not get it to work. I tried emptying it with DO but it always stays with 0.09% of metal scrap there. I am going crazy :)

Ok, so for anyone having the same issue... Turn off the incinerator so it doesn't pull immediately and reverse the direction of factory connection. Then make your garbage trucks drop random mixed waste into the ash dump so it changes to mixed waste. Then reverse the factory connection to make incinerator drop the ash back into there and voila!

Are you sure they aren't just filling up their internal bins first?

What if you just pause the game, clear the ash dump, and then check "mixed waste" in its menu? Or are you dumping ash waste with metal scrap mixed in?

That isn't how it is supposed to work. Internal waste bins are supposed to be filled after external bins. The internal bins are only mixed. It won't sort out plastic, organic, and other wastes because of this glitch.

I believe that external bins will be preferred if in range.
I was reading something about it in the CR when garbage has been introduced.
However I often see that some garbage is in the internal one as well. I guess it's just when the external one is full for a short period of time.
