What disable achievements?

I'm no achievement hunter and will probably never 100% them in any game I play, but I like to play with them on.

I know tinkering with features mid-game disable them, as activating cheat mode, but does workshop maps disable them? Workshop assets?

Yes, I searched here, the interwebs, Reddit and the wiki and haven't found a clear answer, especially for workshop maps, since I've read that the default custom maps have some road connection issues and the current default ones I already tried and want to experiment new.

I expect entering cheat mode deactivates achievements.

Even changing the game properties do. This is a bit unfair if you have to switch e.g. a road will not be built in realistic mode because the workers refuse to tresspass a bus station :(

There is a bug now that even opening the game settings disables achievement.

Entering cheat mode by itself does not disable achievments. Just using some functions there.

Using mods and workshop assets does not disable achievements.

i dont know the answer.
But i just wanted to say try and look in the recent game change log of new patches there was some info about achievements and that they fixed a bug that would turn off achievements if you changed some settings.. Maybe that will answer your question.

Changing any Game Setting seems to disable achievements, even if you're making something more difficult.
