I've been speeding up games with CE for a long time, and they usually run better if anything. Havent ran enough mods to stress this one enough to get it unstable...
You probably wouldn't notice unless you're doing some testing.
exampe the cargo wagon on 1960 is 11 300 using speed on 1966 goes 18700 where normal fast goes to 14200
example mods work rigth and other things
not all work corekt with this speed
i cant better translate what dont work in the german forum is an treat what dont work corect with this speed
but the resources and many other things work wrong with dopple speed
there are proplems with power and wather and other things
Going off of CE speed up:
Conveyor and Power wackyness
Load and Unload speed
Walking speed of citizens
With the last two completely breaking transportation, because it'd be like ticking wait until loaded on a bus, meanwhile the citizen clock is ticking faster and thus timing out while on the bus still waiting in the station.
I've had a metro line completely back up on one of the stations, with half of my citizens starting to starve, and the other half leaving because no one got to work at the power plant.
I think it's fine to speed up during the first few months, while still autobuying stuff, and everyone is in walking distance of their needs, but once you have public transport, just forget it exists.
Though I will say CE with its granularity can still work pretty well up to a point. For me it starts acting weird at 20x with 2x speed in game. Then again, I do have some problems with modded high throughput conveyors at 2x speed, while they work flawlessly at 1x.
