{ Beta } Vehicle scrapping gives only waste ?

The vehicle scrapping facility led me to believe - store for steel, aluminium, plastic and so on - i needed to build warehouse and depots to collect the materials. But all what happens is it produces waste.

Is this because some invention is not invented ?

You need to discover something at the university to get goods from the scraping yard.
Until then you get waste only.
We tested it. We ran brandnew vehicles in just to watch them turning to garbage.

The tutorial maps show that you need to check the checkbox in the vehicle scrapping facility "disassemble carefully" (or something like that) with an explanation that disassembling the car in this way will take more time, but give separate materials. Not sure if this requires research.

"collect resources from vehicles" checkbox, available without research. As you can see, only a small part of the metal goes into the mixed waste in this case.
