[Test Branch] - Pipes half capacity
Hi, Is it only my city problem that current public test branch pipes have only half of deisgned capacity? The smallest according to description should have flow about 26 m3 but the have something about 11 m3?

Well it depends on more factors.
How much is produced and how much is demanded?
Apart from that I don't know to much about it. Haven't checked lately.
i dont know from wather ... i only testet on sewage an the proplem there is that only all 24 Houers ingame is output from houses and then the sewage is overflowed

The waste water was always all right here. I observed once that my water tower didn´t fill up. I addittionally let a truck moving. That solved the problem.
But I didn´t calculated the flow.

been playing test for a bit now, still seems a bit touch and go (still fighting with death surges). water and sewage are a resources in game, you must have a pump in-line between producer and consumer, if not will result in low pressure and lower flow rate. the water wells and treatment plants i find are very touchy on when people are working there, big well is 10 workers and theory production of 215m3 (most ive gotten 1 to produce was 160m3) but at 9 people was at most 80m3 (ive switched to outflows as more reliable to not kill my people). the other 1 i noticed is if your using water treatment plants (DO or death) is if your pulling highly polluted water (anything under 80% roughly) it slows down the amount the building can process (you can lower desired purity level, dont go under 90).
Note: just making sure here but if your inputting 1 26m3 pipe into a switch or pump then run 2 lines out you will get reduced flow for both pipes (I find 1 normally gets priority and the other gets nothing most of the time)
hope this helps

Thanks for your post. I always use pumps. I kinda like it. I can't wait for cosmonaut. Than we really need to fiddle about.

My setup is:
Small Pump => Small Water Tower (Full) => Work Purifier => Small Pomp => Small Water Tower (Empty) And I can that when I upgraded pipe between : Small Water Tower (Full) => Work Purifier water flow rise but it's low below limits of pipe in description

So when I have lowest pipe it was 11m3 instead 26 then medium was 23 instead 56.

Only difference in setup was pipe.

The capacity for pipes (26m³/d) is for max pressure. Medium has double the throughput and big around 5 times.
If you would build an underground tank at 100m terrain height and connect it to an underground tank at 1m terrain height you would get the max pressure of 1.09 using a small pipe and a flow rate of 26m³/d. The same if building the tanks on even ground and putting a pump between the two.
You could also have one underground tank at 21m use a big pipe connected to a water switch at 1m (100m/5) and a small pipe from there to an underground tank also at 1m to get the max flow of 26m³/d.

The water towers have a build-in height of around 65m(?) for the big tower and 35m(?) for the small one, so you need a height difference of 35m for the big one to get max pressure (or use a pump behind them).
