I know about those, but I don't consider them real content. I mean, no offense to the devs, but there some very high quality maps out there. What I want, is some real dlc. I know that this is likely to be still months away, or it might not be.
The features the game currently has, were not that far apart. They were done one at a time. I'm not actually sure how long the major updates were apart, but a rough estimate, and this is a GUESS based on my memories, I'd say a couple of months, half a year at most. That's actually an upper limit, I think.
To clarify, in case I wasn't clear, I mean that there was six months in between major updates. Or major features.
I checked and the game was released on june 20th this year. That's roughly five months ago. Which means in turn, five months of work. Or, including the summer break, let's call it four months.
This, to me, suggests that they're going to be announcing something very soon. Maybe sometime in December at the latest?
Obviously, I that's just speculation. Also, I'm not sure if I WANT a sequel. I would think they would exploit this game more first. Put the majority of their personnel on making one or two major dlc / content packs and the remainder on a sequel maybe.
That's just how I would do it though.
Demanding more is a crime at this point.
The main problem seems to be that workers and ressources did grow into something the main coded only hardly supports by now.
Cities Skylines 2 entered the room
...actually nevermind.
also better behavior of passengers and vehicles.
Three interconected aspects I would wish to be improved:
1. job sities are offering job slots, either one slot daily (8/24h), two or three (depending on facility, also possible to be user defined)
2. workers are reserving slots in advance, their decision depend on actual transport network, given slot will be occupied for whole year, if not disrupted.
3. Very important - real timetables - possibility of defining exact hours of arrival/departure, instead of dumb, less or more random, circulating - such mechanism, AFAIK, wasn't implemented in any tycoon game (no idea, why).
Such timetables would help workers to plan ahead job hiring or fulfill their free time needs.
Of course, there would be issues with rush hour - but well, it is where fun begins :)
Also begin and end of job slots would be optionally redefined by player, to avoid rush peak.
Probably time should pass little slower.
