UX Design: Allow for searching buildings

It would be very nice to be able to search for the name of a building you want to buy instead of having to go through up to three levels of UI to get to the building you want to build. The customizable hotbar at the top is already a great addition to being able to find what you want but a search function would make it even better in my opinion.

You can search in the mod menu, and you can limit what appears in the bottom bar to just base game stuff with or without favorited mods.

Hey, that's pretty nift, but I was more thinking of vanilla items. Just clicking a shortcut and type "hospital" to get all hospitals would be a pretty nice feature.

What do you mean with "get all"... like a list, windows, highlights on the map??

I wanna be able to search for the item to build. Nothing too fancy. Would simplify looking through the menus to get what I want. The copy tool is really good for similar reason.

The UX of the game is not the best I've seem. But I think a full-on rework on that is very low on priority when there's need for extra buildings and features.

I think it is okay. If you know the categories on the bottom bar and do not permit mods to show up there, then you shouldn't ever see more than 12 buildings per section unless you're looking in the apartments, and mods can be searched for by name or by category (hospital, cargo stations, etc.)
