Does unemployment have a negative impact?

well the harm can that do it so many unemplyoment few % does not matter a lot, but more they spend time drinking or make crimes, more criminals comes that just like real life but its common in soviet republic and still is. but build more prison's and let them do the work.

Do you mean that a high level of unemployment leads to an increase in crime?
Can unemployment be a reason to leave the republic if all needs are met?

It can be, or lack of free apartments, forr newly graduated peoples finish schools. anyway if they not happy they move. its like real life you not have job? crime is option

I also got the feeling that high unemploiment rates seems to stand in relation with number of fires.
It might have been coincitental tho, hard to prove.

i am not sure, but i think the biggest issue is that to many people that have no work is bad for business since it cost to keep them alive. I dont think crime will rise
( regaring crime, make sure to have enough police, and it also help to have a house for homless children els they can grow up to become criminals )

Higher unemployment leads to more alcoholism/demand for booze and also increases crime.

I haven't done a full test but my hypothesis is that if workers are unemployed for let's say 3 days in a row it starts to affect them. I don't think there is an affect after the first day, so unemployment around 5% is fine/healthy.

Failing to find workplace does lower happyness that can lead to other bad behaviors like crime.

he is right if unemployment is too much it will do higher crime rate , but not necessary alcoholism if you not not have bars. but without work you know what peoples do is crime.
