3. There isn't anything about power limit in trafo config, so unless it's hardcoded, it should allow for multiple connections. You certainly can use multiple connectors, but be aware that they are not pass through. Transformer is an isolated point powering rails in both directions. Train can only draw from two transformers on both ends of section it occupies, not some further away. You can cheat it using multiple parallel connectors, but spreading the load should be better fro your power grid anyway.
I noticed that it will go above power limit of power line. I only have one 2.35 MW line into power connector but is currently using 3.2.
