Pay for landscaping/terraforming

Is it possible to pay for landscaping/terraforming instead moving excavators and bulldozers on site? I tried to disable the realistic mode to modified a far away piece of land without moving equipment, but to no avail. The game always ask me to bring excavators or bulldozers.

You can if you select pay with rubles/dollars then you can terraform without bulldozers/excavators. Disabling realistic mode doesn't automatically switch to either of these.

You can also spend dollars to terraform in the first month or so in realistic mode.

Bottom right of the screen. The options have icons of dollars, rubles, and a crane.
