Same goes for Co's, they also do not repair themselfs.

If I was a mechanic I am sure I would repair my own vehicle and not pay someone else to do it :)

I was able to repair my own repair truck by giving it the repair order; I don't know if it would've repaired automatically as it was not due for repair (30% wear and tear, 40% threshold). So you probably don't need a second garage, but you may need to poke it.

Hm, seems bad design if you have to micro manage every repair truck, think it need fixing

There are certain things that you micromanage until you can build infrastructure, but this probably shouldn't be one of them.

It's normal building behavior. Just like DO can't target itself as destination, CO for repairs etc. Pull those trucks to depot and send for manual repair every decade or so.

You don't even need to do that though, just hit the repair button and it'll sort itself out?

I don’t remember any problems when I had only one repair workshop in the republic.
Now, on a test card, I bought a used truck to work in a workshop (17% wear), set the repair of this truck to 10% (I did not press the start repair button), when it arrived at the workshop, it was repaired automatically.

Is there some other problem that's causing your repair facility to not work properly? Too busy? Do you have repair at building enabled? Do you have the timeout-abort enabled?

why not just build a vehicle repair station next door to the vehicle repair station?
cover all bases.. micromanage nothing lol

I only have one repair depot and my 3 repair vehicles either fix themselves or each other.
If i mouse over the little spanner icon it tells me it's been less than a year since repairs and then tells me it was 4 months and 23 days ago.

I observed my trucks just recently.
The repair themselves when they are waiting.
This process can be interupted if the truck gets busy.

i have started kicking them out onto lines and giving the repair shop a new vehicle every three years or so
