How do you manually install mods on the GOG version of the game?

I got the game on GOG so no workshop for me, in the hindsight, maybe that was a mistake.
I asked this on GOG forum several days ago but no one seems to want to answer me, i thought maybe i will have better luck here.

If you can get mod folders from steam, you just put them in SovietRepublic\media_soviet\workshop_wip\ and it will show in game

that is what i did,i googled it before i posted this, doesn't work, i got the mods from here. The mods tab on the left side of the screen is empty.

you have to rename unpacked folders to numbers only (the same as $ITEM_ID from workshopconfig.ini)

Someone found solution for that? I have pasted folders with numbers only to \workshop_wip\ but still there isn't mods.
