Problem with Cargo Helicopters
Hey everyone, I have been having a weird issue with the cargo helicopters. I have a helicopter construction site with 2 MI26 and 2 MI26-CARGO. I have setup helicopter pads linked with all my construction materials.

The MI26's will load cargo and deliver them to buildings being constructed... However the MI26-CARGO will take off, have a task of loading 100% get about 30 yards off the ground and then the task just cancels and they land again.

I have tried to do some simple debugging like game-reset, replace helicopters etc but only the normal helicopters will collect material, the cargo ones will not do anything.

Could it be that there is something that prevents the chopper from landing?
It could have been reachable once assigned but during the process of building something else was planned near the site which makes it impossible to continue.

That's just a rough guess.

Or there may be another platform with a chopper within.

I once was building something near a fire station with a chopper.
This chopper prevented the other one to land.

Can you post a screen shot of your site?

Two screenshots, there is gravel available but the CARGO helicopters just land after a few seconds of taking off with their tasks being cleared.

And is this HCO the only office assigned to build that road?

Is it possible that you are running out of gravel when the chopper is on it´s way?

This occurs on any construction even if there are many landing points on that site. The gravel site remains full at all times with the trucks using a storage that is normally close to capacity.

I think Vimes was having similar issues, but for building repairs. I do not remember if mods were an issue or not, but you might try making a save and replacing the Mi-26 helicopters you're using with vanilla ones.

Those particular helicopters are bugged when it comes to working from a helicopter CO. I am posting a video showing that. I'll link it here when it finishes loading.

The MI10 can lift 13t in carrying capacity. The MI26's can lift...........(not designated)

They seem to be classed as a passenger and not a cargo type, as well.

Just try a different helicopter, preferably a vanilla helicopter and helicopter CO, and report back how you go on.

I'm using MI-10 and they seem to work; you can see my setup in the screenshot below, the heli CO and heli cargo are behind the cooling tower. I like to place lots of large obstacles around my heliports add extra challenge for pilots (:

I've only just started using helis so don't have much experience of them yet. What happens if there's not enough resources available to the cargo helipad?

If there are not enough resources for the chopper to be picked up than the chopper picks up what is there momentarely. If he is not able to pick up anything he would just move back to the CO.

Your setup looks quite cool. I do like it.
The red building, I assume it´s a powerplant, is that a mod?
If so do you have the link of it?

Great that it worked for you. I'll see if I can get that mod marked up as not working. The modder does not seem to be active, for some time.
I have mentioned it to a Dev, up to them if it gets marked as incompatible.
