I used the cheat menu to use the Landscape Editor, ( I was playing in realistic mode ) and now my money is on UNLIMITED and all my citizens are gone ? how can I fix this

You can fix money with save editor which you can find in guides. Citizens, unfortunately, gone forever.
Your only actual solution is to load previous save before you messed around with landscape editor.

Ok thanks, I already started over, I was only 3 years in, but it still hurts

I was building a railroad and highway through a mountain area, I needed to smooth out a mountainside, and remove a piece of train tunnel, sometimes my game crashes when I remove railroads or tunnels, so I saved with the landscape editor still checked, when I tried to remove the tunnel the game crashed, and when I came back, it was like this..

I had this problem before, but reversed, I was building a map in the map editor, and sometimes the game thought I was in game mode instead of map editor, by workers it said zero, and roads had to be confirmed, instead of build instantly,
but usually it fixed itself, by reloading the map, this is the first time I see it in game mode.

Sometimes, very extremely rarely it could happen. I actually experienced it once, but it was just one single time since day one.
It is also worth noting that you cannot save game while in landscaping mode other than making new save.

Game crahes often for me when I'm planing/laying out tracks, foodpaths, or roads, specially when it's complicated (like when in mountains ot in tight places).
Never could nail it down to be reproducible >:/

Yea I forgot about that, normally you can't save while using the landscape editor, that's probably the reason I why forgot about it, I learned my lesson, from now on I just stay away from the cheat menu, I love realistic mode, I was too impatient to wait for the excavators XD

@Titule I have the same especially the railroad switches they were the worst for me, after the last update I have it less, but it still happens from time to time

Happened to me yesterday, but as stated believe it was because I tried to save it in Terrain mode and then reloaded it to Unlimited money and ghost towns. Just reloaded a previous save and hasnt happened again.

Key to this, something I have learned over years and many different games, Save your games and save them often. You have space for it, so save them. Quick saves, starting saves, major improvement saves, any fork in the road situation saves, want to return to this point again in future saves. Heck I have separate folders for saves of nearly all games I play. Just never know!

LOL I'm doing to same rn, I had auto save turned off, and I only used one savegame, I save often, but with problems like this it's better to have back-ups, I learned it the hard way today

To save is okay here. To load takes some time due to mods and lines to be loaded. I made it a ritual when I want to start playing.
I load, make myself a coffee and have a ziggy at the Terrasse. There I think over what I'm going to do.

I have the game on SSD, but even than it takes a long time to load sometimes, and I always save to the cloud in zip file, so it takes awhile before it's saved
