Most vehicles will also detour to a nearby depot for repairs if a repair station is next to it, but not always (I think ships do not.) Some vehicles like train wagons and cableway cars do not require maintenance at all.
If you want to monitor the republic's general wear and tear levels, I recommend looking in the "List of vehicles and buildings," which you can find on the left menu bar with a handbook icon.
We did not set up end stations for any of the cargo trains :(
We shall build lots of end stations, and many more junctions for tracks :(
This is going to be a long night
they may start an repair but not finish it, than it takes an other year for a new repairattempt to happen.
if you think this is the case, uncheck the upper checkbox on the repairstation buildingcard
keep in mind tho, if workers or resources will still not be delivered, the vehicle will wait to be repaired for ever.
If you have a repair shop link to a rail depot, the train will automatically go to the depot for repair (when the repair threshold is met).
When setting the global rules for "repair at [-] > 80% [+]"
Does this mean the vehicle or building will get repaired at 80% wear and tear? or when maintenance drops to below 80%?
I get confused, if wear and tear is at 20% then is maintainance at 80%?
i thought that ">" followed by a number means less than. so at >80% "repair" is too much or not? i still not know
">" means "greater than", my boy, and the number represents wear and tear, not "maintenance" level.
So "Repair >80%" means "repair when wear and tear is greater than 80%", which is bad; vehicles start stopping randomly causing traffic jams starting at 60% I think.
I try to keep all vehicles below 40%, so "Repair >40%".
I was switching between 20% and 80%, i guess the extreme side of either..
wtf my whole life has been a lie, im litterally old.
So just to be clear, to make my brain understand.... x>80 means 80 is greater than x?? because to me my brain is saying x is greater than 80 :'( why am i stupid
If we build a rail depot with road access and naerby vehcile repair shop then nearby passing trains or nearby stopping trains will go here without it in the schedual? im not sure. i will try this... I think there are already these scenarios in the map i will check. If put depot in schedual train goes there and never leaves...

We were unable to make it through the night, and are currently footing the bill to "just" replace trains when they die. Its costing us dearly.
x > 80 means that x is greater than 80.
Buuut x is "Wear and Tear", so if you've set Repair % to 80, you're setting it to mean "Repair this thing when the wear and tear is greater than 80%", by which point it's in serious danger of bad things happening.
I don't know if they'll do so automatically, but you can send the rail vehicle into the depot and then it can be repaired this way (without the repair station being adjacent). Which might be enough to get you through until you can get end stations set up.
Ill do that, thank yoo
