Fertilizer dump
I can't find a way to manage ferlilizer dumps. It always end up that my system overflow.

I collect biological waste from citizen and industries and I put everything in transferts. Then I have trucks DOs that collect from those transfert and drop in big dump with claw. There, I have a trains DO that dispatch all to farms or border.

The problem is when biological waste into the dump become fertilizer. The trucks DOs don't add biological waste to the dump anymore. And the trains DO don't flush it either, because there is not enought fertilizer for that. Even when I set the "load" for the train DO to 0%.

I do not understand why trucks DO doesn't add biological waste to fertilizer, or how I have to configurate stuff to get that. When I create a normal line, it does well. Maybe I should collect from transfert and send to dump with normal lines, indeed. But it would be beter with DOs...

Any idea ?

Long time ago I was begging Devs to let us mix fertilizer and biological waste as well as turn separated garbage into mixed again.

I think I solved it using big waste storage for bio waste with factory connection to another waste storage that was accepting only fertilizer. The I was using (as you probably mentioned) a normal line with 'wait until loaded' on this fertilizer only waste storage. This mechanism let my separate fertilizer from bio waste. Technical Services were working correctly at least.
However, I am not 100% sure if this was my solution. I had an SSD failure and I lost 2100 year republic so I can't check it.

1. Biological waste and fertilizer are two different items, you can't mix them together one's separated, that's why trucks don't add biological waste to fertilizer.
2. Biological waste will automatically change into fertilizer only if "you put it too long". Those "mixed in" fertilizers won't show them self as fertilizers but as biological waste in the dump.
3. You can separate them by using any vehicle to "load until 100% fertilizer" at the "Biological waste only" dump, that's why you get those fertilizer.

Suggestion: don't transfer biological waste for long distances, instead you put them somewhere to rot and transfer those fertilizer later.

This was my first idea.

The problem is that DO and RDO do not always empty dump to zero. Thus, it end up that there is a little rest of fertilizer, and the dump can't be reused for a new cycle.

Well... I can solve that with a normal line. This is maybe the best solution.

Just to save your initial planned setup untouched, I would just add a fertilizer dump and buy some garbage trucks to constantly suck fertilizer from biowaste dumps and bring it into fertilizer dump. That would prevent biowaste from turning. The RDO that you already have could take care of further distribution of said fertilizer.

If you designate a dump to receive only fertilizer or bio-waste by clicking the mark, then it might cause problems. However if you don't designate a dump to receive only certain waste type then there shouldn't be a problem.

This is what I thought. But no.

Even without specification, the trucks DO will not put bio waste into a dump that contains a rest of fertilizer. You can do it with normal lines, but not with DO.

I choose to build 4 small dump with claw as intermediate storage. Trucks from DO store bio waste in them, and get it out when turned fertilizer. Then the trains DO dispach fertilizer...

I'll see if it works smooth.

converting bio waste to ferilizer only happens in dumps.
if the plan is to not let it change but get rid of it, you can put it in containers instead and it will stop rotting.

you could also build multible heaps and switch between them loading and unloading ever so often, to get fertilizer without investing work or chemicals.

Use road cargo station + transfer for big garbage container combination, setting the transfer for garbage container with 60 40 biowaste and ferilizer ,Set the road cargo station as dump point for you truck,
If the biowaste dont turn into ferilizer route a garbage truck to wait till load the ferilizer at the transfer for garbage container.
