What's the benefit of grab claw waste dump?
Currently I'm using big waste containers and transfers to process waste, and also using them for fertilizer.

Is there any benefit to the grab claw stuff or is it just a gimmick?

The claw variant provides fast loading speeds (similar to other buildings).

So it's down to you and how you design waste collection and processing, really. If the dump is used as the input for a factory or processing plant, then the regular flavor is fine, since you'll only unload there.

If you are going to load from the dump, for example you have an output dump which you will need to load from and transfer to another dump, then the claw variant is the one you need.

For temporary storage and transfer between facilities, use the transfer dumps. They're super quick to both load and unload and can be used by both big and small dump trucks for unloading. On top of that you can hold more than one type of waste in them (regular and claw dumps can only hold one type of garbage), but their capacity is overall smaller than regular dumps.

Thanks for the infos - currently I tend to store separated waste so looks like transfer dumps are better suited to my needs. But I'm seeing an increase in mixed waste so that will probably get it's own dedicated claw dump at some point as I get my recycling industry set up.

Yes, managing mixed waste is pretty much the de-facto use for the claw dumps.
