They are trying to do their best to push the game out of 1.0 this Q1 2024.
The Soviet Republic has been in good playable condition for several years now. Not removing the early access label is the developer's decision. To date, all features announced in the public roadmap have been added. They are working on fixing bugs, adding new car models, and updating old building models.
PS: this developer has a non-public roadmap, which from time to time pleasantly surprises with previously unmentioned updates. So it is unknown what else is planned before release.
We are in polishing for release stage, adding missing variety content, updating the old things like tutorials etc. Game is improving all the time but also was enjoyable to play for years now.
The only negative besides small team size (as you'd want just more of everything) is that the engine is quite old now and has technical limitations spilling into what features are avilable, but it doesn't detract from the strong points, just that it does not scratch all the itches at the same time.
Release is planned for the near future, although no date is given... I'd anticipate a full release in Q1 or Q2.
Jury still out on WRSR IMO; definitely has a huge amount of potential, but also needs a *lot* more polish than I expect it to get.
Always judge EA by its current contents, nothing less, nothing more.
Personally i can definitely list more EAs that are developing slowely but are good, than slow and bad ones... take a recent example of KeeperRL, 10 years in development, released few days ago, its really good. Cheers :)
Agreed, this is the case.
I prefer a game satying in EA a bit longer but with ongoing development to a game anounced "ready" with a lot of open issues.
Worst case are games abandonned in EA
Totaly agree.

2] If you're waiting for full release then those predicting Q1 or Q2 are just guessing.

As we are closer and closer to full release
That was a year ago.
The original prediction was December 2022.
BUT, as the others have said, the game is playable.
