Is there any way to turn off road snapping to the nodes?
I'm weirdly OCD about having totally straight roads for a lot of things. But I notice that, like, sometimes the road won't connect somewhere else straight on, it snaps to those little purple nodes and comes out a little crooked, and for no reason other than a weird brain, it drives me nuts.

Is there any way to stop that, either through in game options or a mod or something?

Thanks!

Nope.

You have to delete roads and lay them again to get the nodes where you want, or you need to draw roads off the main roads so you can have nice right angles.

You're welcome.
You might also try using the "snap to grid" feature, which you can toggle by pressing f1 twice.

yeah, that's what I've beeen using for general road layouts. It's just the node snapping that's driving me nuts.

You may want to prototype layouts with dirt roads first then, and upgrade them to gravel or whatever once you're satisfied.
