Do you guys build churches?
Do you build churces (using mods) when having unpopulated mods? I mean, they do help at first when you're building a country out of nowhere and don't have many attractions (specially on realistic mode). But latter on it comes to bite you on your loyalty.
What's your stance on this matter, comrades?

No I don't need them (and I don't need weapons too :steamhappy:)

I like the twist that people want churches and (the vanilla) game does not enable you to build them.

I usually build one church so if citizens really can go to it they can do so. If you do not build your people a church then you have to build 5 or 6 tourist attractions for them to visit or there will be happiness penalty.

Doens´t matter to me if I need them or not. It´s just eyecandy imo.

i do build churches but since they are not yet in the game then i use 1 mod with 3 different size churces and they do a good job ;-)
But you can play the game without them if you like OR start a new game on a map with small villages and then transort your people there.

The devs did post some images of a big cathedral that will be part of the final game and it look awelsome so there will be churches in the game within a few month until final relase of the v1.0 verison of the game in 2024

The cathedral was just a new model; I didn't read anything that said they are going to be a vanilla buildable structure.

I don't use build churches and don't put in mods for that purpose. I follow the guidelines/suggestions of the game and play in the setting without them.

No, never.
I'm really glad that not only can I ignore church building, but the game intentionally assumes there are no new churches.

I do. In my "republic," if we are going to be socialists, we are going to be religious socialists.

I like building churches in smaller towns because they make it feel more like a small village in rural Europe, and that pretty much requires them to be added to large cities so religious immigrants to them don't get mad.

You don't need to build churches to satisfy the need to pray; attractions with an attraction type can also satisfy the need to pray (and other leisure needs). Churches are interesting in that you can keep them open as a high capacity service building that doesn't require any workers to function, but at the cost of loyalty.
